How to get a great tan at the beach
Once you get into the sun, limit yourself to a few hours a day, and try to avoid sun tanning during the peak hours of 11 AM and 3 PM. Always use sunscreen, as a full sun on unprotected skin is bad no matter what. A lotion with SPF 6 to 15 will still allow you to tan, based on your skin type.A good tan should take a few days, and keep practicing step 1 and 2 every morning before you go out. Tanning too fast is dangerous and could lead to burning. Moderation is key. Now you’re outside and in the sun. You’re gradually getting a tan and having fun. But the bathing suit blocks the rays, leaving your skin white underneath. You can adjust the straps to get an even tan on your shoulders, but that still leaves the rest of your body covered. That means there’s only one thing to do, and a nudist beach is not the answer. It’s time to say goodbye to your old bathing suit and say hello to a tan through swimsuit. The fabric is specially constructed of tiny pores to allow the sun’s rays to shine through, but still small enough to form a protective shade. The result is a controlled tan, similar to an SPF 6 to 10 sunscreen, greatly reducing the risk of a sunburn. Remember to wear a similar sunscreen on exposed parts of the skin so you tan at the same rate as underneath your clothing. Tan through swimsuits are available in bikinis, 1-piece suits, swimming trunks and shirts. Stay cool and comfortable at the beach, knowing that you’ll have that great all over tan before the end of your vacation. |
